Through my own journey of illness and recovery and nursing others through the same, I have developed a strong interest in the mind as it connects to the body and the body as it connects to mind.
I am a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP™), a Certified Clinical Traumatologist (TITC-CT), hold a Master of Nursing (MN) with a collaboration in Addictions Studies, through which I integrated theories of embodiment, psychotherapy, addiction and recovery and hold an Advanced Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy Studies from University of Guelph. I am an Associate member of Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. My background as a birth doula and a nurse has built in me a deep appreciation for how hard it is to be alive and the support required to get through challenging and transitional times.
I am an avid lover of music, art and dance, believing that creativity is a part of being alive. I work to integrate this understanding into my practice, along with a spiritual and intuitive sense.
